Will you come up with the winning solution for a more sustainable city? During the Sustainable City Challenge, you’ll tackle questions about the future of the city, such as: how can we make a street healthier, or how do we ensure that a car-free neighbourhood is still easily accessible? We will announce the winners during the Grand Finale of Utrecht Science Week on 7 October.
The challenge is organised by the Utrecht Challenge Alliance, in collaboration with: Goed op Weg, Merwedelab, UCo – Utrecht Community, RIVM, CAB Lab, Energie Samen, HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, Utrecht University, ROC Midden-Nederland and the Municipality of Utrecht.
Why should you participate?
During this challenge, you will join other students and experts to explore what we can do to live and work in a healthier and more sustainable manner. You’ll work in an interdisciplinary team of students from UU, ROC, MN and HU. You’ll get the latest insights about health and sustainability and learn more about design thinking, future scenarios and concept development. You’ll work on concrete sustainable and healthy solutions, for yourself and for others.
Not to mention: this is the perfect opportunity to experience the Grand Finale of Utrecht Science Week. You don’t want to miss it!
The working days for the teams will be 14 September and 27 through 30 September. The finals will be held on Friday 7 October.
