Erwin Roex

Erwin Roex is senior policy advisor at RIVM’s National Sewage Surveillance. He studied Biology specializing in Ecotoxicology. In various positions he did research on the environmental risks regarding all kinds of chemical compounds, including pesticides and pharmaceuticals. In recent years he was mainly occupied with the origin and fate of substances in the environment. At RIVM, among other things, he is researching on how the infrastructure set up for sewage measurements for COVID-19 can be cleverly used for other applications.
