Auke Haver is a PhD candidate in Bioinformatics and works at RIVM for the National Sewage Surveillance. He researches whether different variants of the coronavirus (SARS-COV-2) and/or other relevant pathogens can be found in the sewage water. He links the obtained genetic data to external data in order to identify patterns. Auke completed the master’s degree in Systems Biology & Bioinformatics at the VU and UVA.
