Tjeerd de Groot has represented the D66 party in the Dutch House of Representatives since 2017. His work in the House focuses on agriculture, nature and fisheries, nitrogen, animal welfare, water, shipping and food/food production. In 2020, he challenged the scientific community to envision a world without animal studies.
